Reasons not to get married.
A wedding should be the happiest moment of your life.
It will take a lot of planning to make it very special.
There are many many things you need to consider before you decide to tie the
knot and get married and also many reasons why you should not get married.
Here are a few reasons why you shouldn’t get married.
Simply because you want to get married or because your friends are married is
not a good reason to rush into a wedding. A marriage to the wrong person
will not ease your loneliness or make you feel any better about yourself.
Wanting to appear grown up or to be free from your parents or just because
you no longer wish to live with your parents is not a good reason to make
wedding plans.
Because you feel you want a baby or even if you find out your pregnant. There
are many other options available if you find yourself in this situation and lots
of places you can get help.
Don’t rush into a wedding just because you feel you are getting old and it’s the
done thing to do or if because you simply feel fed up of being single. If you
are living with your partner and you are happy that way then why pay all that
money for a piece of paper. If friends are gossiping about you living together
whilst not being married then let them. If you are happy then it shouldn’t
bother you.
A marriage should be for life. It should be something you only do once in
your whole lifetime. You really do need to be absolutely sure the person you
have chosen to spend the rest of your life with really is someone you want to
give yourself to wholly body and soul.
Marriage alone doesn’t always make you happy. Happiness must come from within
and whilst finding someone can make you feel happier only you yourself can make
yourself truly happy.
Marriage is not always a fairy tale happy ending or eternal bliss.
Think things through very carefully and make sure you both want the same things
before you walk down the aisle together.
My advice to you if you really are determined to get married is to live
together for a while to make sure you can really get on together and that you
both have the same expectations and needs.
